Well here I am again …

Since the demise of my last blog, I’ve had the itch on several occassions to resurrect it. An itch was all it was however, nothing significant enough to overcome my lack of motivation. Well I guess my extreme boredom has gotten the best of me … so here I am again. I been sittin’ here for two days trying to figure out how to start. My buddy Tony, up north at TonyMercer.net suggested I start at the beginning, but I think I will opt to start at the end … it requires less thinking … LOL! So here goes …

INTERPRETATIONS

According to the clock, its just past 9:30AM so I’ve been home for all of about one hour. I hate weekends. I get off work at 6AM, but through the graciousness of JTA I don’t get home until about 8:40-ish. Needless to say, I’m tired, I’m hungry, and could go for a nice long hot shower right about now. It’s a typical quiet morning – the sun is shining, there is still a hint of a chill in the air, and INTERPRETATIONS is playing in the stereo. It’s not a bad cd. Some interpreters are clearly better than others – I bought it for Kirk Franklin’s cover of September.

ULTIMATE PRINCE

I picked it up yesterday from Target along with ULTIMATE PRINCE, which I swore I would never buy since it’s not a legitimate Prince album … but here it is. But I guess it’s worth it just to get the remixes that I didn’t already have: Pop Life (Fresh Dance Mix), Raspberry Beret (12″ Version), U Got The Look (Long Look), and Hot Thing (Extended Remix). Beyond the remixes, there’s nothing remarkable about the cd – just another futile attempt on the part of Warner Bros to milk a lil more money out of Prince’s catalog of music.

Oh look … an hour has passed. I swear I must have spent more time tweaking this post than actually writing it. Oh well, it’s a beginning … the ball has started rolling. Now to keep up the momentum.

I wonder where Tony is?
